How Does Invisalign Work?

Invisalign straightens teeth using a series of aligners. An impression of your teeth is made, from which a series of aligners is created in a dental lab. The aligners are made from a thermoplastic material, strong yet flexible so they’re comfortable when worn for long periods of time. The material is virtually invisible.

The aligners are worn for 22 hours a day. Every two weeks, they are replaced with the next set in the series. Over several months, the aligners gradually shift teeth into their correct positions, making minor adjustments to specific teeth. This ensures your teeth remain comfortable as they move at a manageable pace. By the end of the series, your teeth should be perfectly straight.
